About Elstree Park
Lying northwest of central London inside the Barnet borough and straddling EN5, HA8, N20 and WD6, Elstree Park has roots reaching back several centuries and a clutch of Grade II and Grade II* listed buildings – including the Holly Bush pub, parts of which date to the 1400s. The local railway station opened in 1868 under the Midland Railway, and nearby Elstree Aerodrome served military duties during the Second World War before returning to civilian flying in 1946. Surrounding districts include Arkley, Barnet Gate, Ducks Island, Edgware Bury and Highwood Hill.
Owners in this pocket sell anything from retirement flats and end-terraced houses to detached properties, penthouse apartments and new-build flats above shops, and the route taken affects the calendar. Going via an estate agent or property auction can stretch into months once you account for marketing, viewings and conveyancing – whereas lease length, condition and any onward chain all play their own part in shaping the schedule.
LDN Properties has been buying homes directly since 2003 and is a member of The Property Ombudsman (membership D12463). We purchase houses and flats across Elstree Park and the rest of the Barnet borough without involving an estate agent, which means there are no commission charges, no agency fees and no onward chain. The legal side runs through your nominated solicitor, so the seller stays in control of representation.
